Mothers Cancels Sears Deal
Philadelphia-based maternity retail chain Mothers Work Inc. has opted not to renew its leased-department agreement with Sears. The company currently runs a maternity department in 502 Sears stores, where Mothers Works’ brand, Two Hearts Maternity, is sold. The leased-department deal will end in June 2008. Mother Works operates 1,580 of its own maternity stores under the nameplates Motherhood Maternity, A Pea in the Pod, Mimi Maternity and Destination Maternity and sells through several e-commerce sites, including DestinationMaternity.com. The company also has a licensing agreement with Kohl’s stores for its Oh Baby by Motherhood collection.
