Iconix On a Roll
The New York–based Iconix Brand Group has struck a series of licensing deals for its London Fog, Rampage, Ocean Pacific, Joe Boxer, Danskin and Rocawear brands. Plus, the company announced plans to expand its Mossimo licensing agreement in Australia. Beijing-based New Foundations now holds a master license for London Fog for all of mainland China, allowing the company to manufacture and distribute London Fog apparel, accessories and lifestyle products in China and open London Fog retail stores and in-store shops across China. Mint Apparel now holds a long-term master license agreement to distribute Op apparel, accessories and lifestyle products in specialty stores, surf shops and department stores in Europe. The Style Co. will open stand-alone retail stores for Rampage, Op and Joe Boxer in the Middle East, thanks to an exclusive long-term licensing agreement. Grupo Zipora will manufacture and distribute Danskin in Mexico through a licensing agreement that will allow Danskin products to be sold in specialty stores and department stores and Danskin Now products to be sold exclusively in Wal-Mart Mexico. Iconix struck an exclusive global licensing agreement with Elizabeth Arden Inc. for the development, marketing and distribution of men’s and women’s fragrance, cosmetics and skin-care products under the Rocawear brand. And the company expanded its Mossimo Australia license with Port Melbourne–based Pacific Brands Ltd., which will open 10 free-standing Mossimo stores throughout Australia in the coming years.
