Breaking Up
Shelli Segal, the woman behind the label Laundry by Shelli Segal, is parting ways with Liz Claiborne Inc., which bought her company in 1999. Segal has been replaced by Trish Westcoat Pound, creative director and chief merchandising officer. No reason was given for Segal’s departure. The name of the label will be changed to Laundry by Design Dresses. Segal started her line in California in 1988.
