Mayor to Turn Out for Intersection Party
The Intersection is throwing a party—and the mayor will be among the guests of honor.
The California Market Center, The New Mart, the Cooper Design Space, the Gerry Building, Designers and Agents and the Los Angeles Fashion District Business Improvement District—collectively known as The Intersection—are throwing a party on March 23 for the grand opening of the Los Angeles Fashion Market.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will be on hand to make an announcement concerning the Los Angeles fashion industry. He will also receive a key to the fashion district from Sydney Evan jewelry designer Rosanne Karmes.
“The California Market Center is thrilled to partner with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the L.A. Fashion District and The Intersection on this monumental event,” said CMC General Manager John Kim. “The Intersection has been working together on an event for some time, and to see it materialize on such a grand scale makes all our efforts worthwhile.”
Guests will include industry executives, buyers and designers, including Chip and Pepper Foster, Tarina Tarantino, Trina Turk, Robert Rodriguez, Sheri Bodell, Yael Aflalo, Carilyn Vaile, Yana Khromova and Allen Schwartz.
Guests will enjoy live music by Lemon Suh and hors d’oeuvres and cocktails provided by Tiara Cafeacute;.
