Guess Gets Sourcing Software
Guess? Inc. is investing in emerging sourcing software from New York–based TradeCard Inc.
The Los Angeles company will use TradeCard’s proprietary platform and its SourceView visibility suite for deductions management, goods receipt and supply-chain scorecarding. This should help Guess optimize global sourcing and improve margins by automating processes from purchase order through payment.
“The TradeCard Platform and SourceView suite will standardize our domestic and international sourcing operation and allow us to make strategic sourcing decisions based on accurate supply-chain performance data,” said Mike Relich, chief information officer at Guess. Guess’ main sourcing office is in Hong Kong, and the new system will help the company manage sourcing and optimize its supplier base throughout its supply chain.—R.M.
