Roar to Raffle a Truck at Project
One lucky Project Global Trade Show buyer will come home from Las Vegas in February with a vintage Ford Bronco, but the truck won’t be won at the casino. Thirteen-year-old men’s clothing line Roar, known for its trendy buttoned-down woven shirts, is hosting a raffle for the truck at the upcoming trade show.
The 1974 Bronco is owned by the founder and owner of Roar, Deepak Vasandani, who wanted to thank his buyers with the opportunity to win the truck.
Current and prospective buyers will be able to enter the raffle at the Project show in New York; at Trafik in Miami; and, finally, at Project in Las Vegas, where the truck will be present and the drawing for the winner will take place.
In recent years, Roar has beefed up its consistent offerings of the classic collared dress shirts with more fashion-driven wovens, knits and blazers that feature original graphics, embroidery, vintage-looking washes and distressing.
“You have to change with the times or you lose your edge,” said Michele Bykerk, a sales representative for Roar. She added that the vintage masculine look of the Bronco matches Roar’s brand image of effortless cool.
For the past few years, Roar has offered promotional watches with both the Roar and Project logos as gifts to Project attendees. As a nod to the continued collaboration, the Project logo will be alongside the Roar logo on the Bronco.
“We’re always looking for cool, fun ways to enhance the Project experience for our attendees,” said Sam Ben-Avraham, president and founder of Project. “Knowing that one of them will drive away in that Bronco is amazing.”
