Swimwear Designer Launches Eco-Friendly Line
Los Angeles–based swimwear and sportswear designer Jacquelyne Love will debut a new, eco-friendly collection for Fall 2007.
Jacquelyne Love E Label will feature garments “consciously created” from natural organic cotton grown without the use of artificial chemicals. The brand will launch with tops, bottoms, dresses and tailored outerwear in organic cotton jersey, poplin, jacquard, corduroy and cotton/wool-blend fabrications.
“I first developed the notion of eco-luxe fashion in my Spring 2007 collection. I wanted to show that organic can transcend its connotation of being bohemian and deconstructed,” said Love, who is married to Mike Love of the Beach Boys. “For Fall 2007, I have launched a complete collection of dresses, separates and outerwear that is sophisticated and elegant.” —Erin Barajas
