Unifi's Launches Recycled Performance Fibers
The latest offering from Unifi Inc. is both eco-friendly and performance-minded.
The Greensboro, N.C.–based fiber maker has launched a new recycled yarn with performance characteristics, including moisture management and performance stretch.
Repreve is a 100 percent recycled polyester yarn Unifi has launched under its aio (all-in-one) division.
Repreve yarns can be made with Unifi’s Sorbtek moisturemanagement properties or its Reflexx performance-stretch properties. Sorbtek and Reflexx are both part of Unifi’s aio division. The yarns can be used in everything from stretch denim and activewear to outerwear, the company said.
