Seaweed Forms the Basis for New Italian Activewear Line
Italian lingerie and daywear label Adea has launched a new collection made with a seaweed-based fiber that Adea says helps the wearer “regenerate the skin.”
The Adea SeaCell collection features six styles made from a blend of cotton, elastane and a seaweed-based yarn called SeaCell and manufactured by German firm SeaCell GmbH. SeaCell is a Lyocell fiber that incorporates seaweed for protective and anti-inflammatory properties. The Adea collection is made with SeaCell’s active fiber, which includes silver to give the fiber anti-bacterial properties, as well.
The Adea SeaCell collection includes a full-length hoodie, sleeveless hoodie, tank top, drawstring pant cropped drawstring pant and robe. Each piece is available in black and ecru. Retail priced from $86 to $160, the collection is sold in high-end and luxury retailers, spas and yoga centers. For more information, visit www.myadea.com. —A.A.N.
