New York Fashion Week: Chaiken
San Francisco–based designer Julie Chaiken and her partner, Jeff Mahshie, showed their Fall 2007 collection of Chaiken Feb. 6 at The Salon in Bryant Park during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Inspired by the chic bohemian oil heiress Millicent Rogers, the duo sent slouchy menswear-inspired trousers, highwaist pencil skirts with deep pockets, snug sweater dresses with swishy hems and matching cardigans and crisp white blouses with prim buttons or floppy bows.
