Indigenous Introduces Natural Performance Collection
Santa Rosa, Calif.–based activewear maker Indigenous introduced a new line of performance mid-layer apparel made from a blend of natural fibers.
The Terra Sport collection features eight styles each for men and women, including zip-front cardigans, pullovers and henleys. Each is made from a blend of 45 percent Tencel, 35 percent alpaca and 20 percent merino wool, a blend that Indigenous says will regulate body temperature and provide a naturalfiber alternative to fleece and other synthetics.
Indigenous uses all-natural, low-impact dyes to achieve the Terra Sports color palette of rosette, spearmint, atomic blue, gray goose, blue jay, pine, burgundy and jet black.
According to the company, each piece in the Terra Sport collection is “handmade by artisans living in remote regions of the globe, who earn a fair wage through fair trade.”
The company launched in 1994 with the mission to provide eco-friendly and socially conscious apparel.
