Law Firm Launches Apparel Division
Los Angeles–based law firm Loeb & Loeb LLP has launched a Fashion and Luxury Brand Industry Group, catering to apparel companies seeking representation in intellectual-property issues, mergers and acquisitions, and other issues.
The firm’s client roster includes Polo Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, True Religion, 7 For All Mankind, Yurman Designs Inc., Vans, TRUNK Ltd. and Planet Blue.
“We can provide fashion and luxury brands a thorough understanding of the channels through which products are promoted, purchased and delivered as well as providing valuable experience in the financial markets as the requirements of these companies evolve,” said the firm’s Co-chairman John Frankenheimer.
James Williams, who joined the firm in March, is chairman of the new group.
“The formation of this group reflects the industry’s tremendous growth and our commitment to the future success of our existing clients,” Williams said.
The new fashion group also includes Los Angeles partner Allan Duboff and associates Shannon McMasters and David Wardle; New York partner David Ansel and associate Noah Leichtling; and Chicago partner Mary Innis.
The move by Loeb & Loeb follows a recent one by Sheppard & Mullin, which also established a fashion division to handle apparel-industry clients in Los Angeles and New York. —Robert McAllister
