FBI to Offer Online Seminars on New Web Site
Fashion Business Inc. has added a series of online video seminars to its redesigned Web site, accessible at www.fashionbizinc.org. The site will officially launch on Aug. 10 and will feature a more user-friendly interface as well as added features, including online seminars conducted by industry veterans such as Robert Silverstone.
The first set of seminars includes topics such as recruiting and developing sales teams, drafting sales agreements, operational management, building up a trunk-show business, improving profit margins, and selling to the apparel industry.
The seminars require a one-time fee based on the subject and length, which varies from one to two hours.
“We get e-mails from around the country about our seminars and thought that offering them on the Web site could reach out to those as well as local people,” said Frances Harder, executive director of FBI, which is a nonprofit organization aimed at start-ups as well as established individuals and companies.
The site was redesigned by FBI member Dan Scully of Launch2.
“We designed it to make it easier to navigate certain areas such as how to become an FBI member and [how] to get information on classes as well as other information,” said Scully. —Robert McAllister
