Gearing Up for San Francisco Fashion Week
The fourth annual San Francisco Fashion Week will take place Aug. 22–25, featuring creations from the Bay area’s homegrown designers.
The week will start with Gen Art’s “Fresh Faces in Fashion” show at 8 p.m. on Aug. 22. Six cutting-edge designers will unveil their collections at the landmark Regency Center, at 1290 Sutter St.
Then, for the next three nights, the scene will shift to the Galleria at the San Francisco Design Center, at 101 Henry Adams St., where the events unfold at 7 p.m..
On Aug. 23, the evening will center on glamour and style with San Francisco’s emerging stars taking to the catwalk with their little black dress creations. Black dresses will be followed by fashions by Pink Elf, Emily Jane Clothing, Vian Hunter and Genevieve Primavera.
The Aug. 24 shows will be co-hosted by Cal Performances with a special exhibition of theater costumes by Isaac Mizrahi for the productions of “Platee” and “King Arthur.” The runway will be filled with fashion by Dcepcion, Wee Scotty, Kirribilla, EVarize and Missing Piece Artwear.
On Aug. 24, eco-friendly Velvet Leaf will hit the runway, followed by Vindy Co, Richard Hallmarq, Onerary and The 615 Project.
