Tukatech Enters The Cool Zone at SPESA
Los Angeles–based technology developer Tukatech Inc. will conduct demonstrations of its 3-D visualization application e-fit simulator at a special section called The Cool Zone during the Material World, SPESA Expo & Technology Solutions May 8–10 in Miami Beach, Fla.
The e-fit system allows users to view a fit model in a draped garment in 3-D while simulating movement to see how the garment and fabric reacts to motion.
The 3-D figure can be adjusted to walk as well as simulate motions used while playing basketball, soccer and other sports. The image can be viewed frame by frame for fit approval.
At the show, a large United Kingdom retailer and a Sri Lanka–based manufacturer will demonstrate how they used e-fit to design and approve samples before a physical sample was ever made. The process can reduce the sample-making cycle to a matter of days rather than weeks, said Tukatech executives.
“This is the year I believe 3-D will be accepted on a broader scale in the apparel industry. We are excited to participate in the Cool Zone with the e-fit simulator tool,” said Tukatech founder Ram Sareen.
Tukatech will be located in The Cool Zone as well as its booth, located in space 1510 of the Technology Solutions section of the Miami Beach Convention Center. For more information, visit www.tukatech.com. —Robert McAllister
