MJW Opens Sales for Fashion District Lofts
Santa Monica, Calif.–based MJW Investments has released the last phase of lofts at Santee Village, located in the Los Angeles Fashion District.
About 200 for-sale units in three 1920s-era buildings went on sale last month. The units are priced from the low $300,000s to more than $1 million. Santee Village is the first modern-era housing project built in the Fashion District. The latest phase is located on Los Angeles Street between Seventh and Eighth streets.
MJW principal Mark J. Weinstein said more than 1,500 visitors toured the facility during the first week of sales.
“Buyers are coming from Burbank, the Valley and Orange County because they are looking for a place with an urban vibe close to the major job centers in L.A. Their occupations run the gamut from engineer to hairstylist,” he said.
Owners of West Hollywood, Calif.’s Destini Cafeacute; recently signed a 1,092-square-foot retail space on the Santee Village courtyard with plans to open the coffee shop/cafeacute;’s first downtown Los Angeles location, said Weinstein. Other amenities include a rooftop pool, basketball courts and a barbecue patio.
Santee Village is a joint venture between MJW and the Phoenix Realty Group.
