Assyst to Debut 3-D Product at SPESA
Morrisville, N.C.–based CAD specialist Assyst/Bullmer will unveil its 3-D modeling solution, Vidya, at the Material World, SPESA Expo & Technology Solutions May 8–10 in Miami Beach, Fla.
Vidya is a virtual sample-fitting solution that eliminates the need for multiple fit samples.
The product will be displayed in The Cool Zone (Pavilion 670) area of the show, to take place in the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Vidya allows designers and patternmakers to visualize 2-D patterns in 3-D format using a computer-generated mannequin, or avatar.
The avatar drapes various fabrics over the figure, which can be placed in a variety of poses.
The aim is to reduce iterations and nip fit problems or issues before the sample-making process. Assyst/Bullmer will feature its complete product line in Booth 1100.—R.M.
