New York Fashion Week: Monique Lhuillier
Known for her beautiful gowns and pretty dresses, Los Angeles designer Monique Lhuillier did not disappoint with her Spring ’07 fashion show Sept. 12 at Olympus Fashion Week.
Slinky Grecian gowns in solid satins and printed chiffon shared the catwalk with prim sheaths and bib-front dresses. A black brocade dress with a bubble skirt was at once youthful and sophisticated. Golds and metallics showed up in lace and woven fabrications and on belts.
Lhuillier also showed long skinny jackets paired with trousers and pencil skirts, a crisp white trench coat, and a safari-inspired suit. —Erin Barajas
