New Manager at Palm Springs Mall
Karen A. Wagner has been named manager of the Palm Springs Mall in Palm Springs, Calif. The mall was acquired in June by Irvine, Calif.–based Hopkins Real Estate Group, which is set to upgrade and reposition the 315,000-square-foot shopping center.
The company hired Coreland Cos. of Tustin, Calif., to manage the center. Wagner will work under Coreland.
She previously was assistant general manager and marketing director for The River at Rancho Mirage, a 227,000-square-foot waterfront shopping and entertainment center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. She also was marketing director for the Westfield Palm Desert shopping center.
Gottschalks and Ross Dress for Less anchor the Palm Springs Mall. It sits on Taquitz Canyon Way at Farrell Street, near the Palm Springs Convention Center and the Palm Springs International Airport. The mall is home to the Palm Springs International Film Festival, held at Camelot Theatres. —Robert McAllister
