Fred Segal to Host Cancer Research Fund-raiser
Fred Segal Fun Santa Monica and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center are joining forces for Design A Cure, an Oct. 5 celebrity fund-raising event aimed at raising awareness for breast cancer research.
Apparel companies such as Rock & Republic, C&C California, Disney Vintage, William Rast, True Religion, Sharon Segal, Blue Cult and others have designed one-of-a-kind T-shirts.
Autographed by a host of celebrities, the tees will be auctioned at the event, as well as sold through Fred Segal. Celebrity participants include Sheryl Crow, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Christina Aguilera and Demi Moore.
All proceeds will benefit the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute.
Fred Segal Fun owners Jackie Brander and Christy Warren have been longtime supporters of breast cancer research and have staged a number of fund-raisers to battle the disease. The event will take place at a private residence in the Brentwood district of Los Angeles. Tickets will be sold through Cedars-Sinai.
