Americana Stores
Los Angeles real estate developer Rick Caruso unveiled the first phase of stores for his Glendale shopping center, The Americana at Brand, a $320 million mixed-use project now under development. Stores will include Lacoste, Juicy Couture, Martin+Osa, H&M, Planet Funk, Puma, BCBG Max Azria, Marciano, Sigrid Olsen, Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters. When completed in 2008, Americana will feature 75 shops, 18 movie theaters, 238 apartments and 100 condominiums—all in an open-air setting with walkways and landscaping. Caruso and his company, Caruso Affiliated, helped popularize lifestyle shopping centers such as The Grove in Los Angeles.
