Casual Male Wins Tech Award
The Canton, Mass.–based Casual Male Retail Group received the 2006 Fusion Award from RIS News, which recognized the retailer for its lean supply-chain management.
Casual Male operates about 500 stores in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. During the past few years, the retailer has revamped its information technology agenda and installed New Generation Computing Inc.’s e-SPS suite to manage design and sourcing for its private-label business.
The system, installed at Casual Male’s Canton, Mass., headquarters, runs design, product development, sourcing, production and inbound logistics throughout the company’s supply chain. Managers in the United States gain real-time visibility into any process from concept to distribution. —Robert McAllister
