Bella to Debut Performance Line
Los Angeles–based Bella, which specializes in blank tees and other sportswear for the imprinted market, will debut a performance apparel line called Alo at the 2007 Promotional Products Association International Expo Jan. 2–6 in Las Vegas.
Abby Gordon, vice president of sales for parent company Color Image Apparel Inc., said Bella’s move follows demand for activewear.
“The need for performance apparel in the wholesale market is growing,” Gordon said. “As the retail market opens up for these kinds of products and people’s lives continue to get busier, active apparel makes sense.”
Alo, which stands for “air, land and ocean,” will feature 14 men’s and 15 women’s styles. The main features of the line are CoolFit, a moisture-wicking technology, and StretchFlex, a fabric that provides a two-way stretch, along with anti-microbial, anti-pilling and water-resistant treatments. —Robert McAllister
