Weil in at Ashworth
Peter M. Weil was named chief executive officer of Carlsbad, Calif.–based golf and lifestyle apparel maker Ashworth Inc. Weil is a member of Ashworth’s board of directors and will continue to serve on the board. The new CEO has a background in apparel and retail including serving as senior vice president/director of Management Horizons, PricewaterhouseCoopers’ retail consulting group. He has also served as senior vice president at Macy’s, Marshalls and J Baker/ Morse Shoe. In other Ashworth news, Winston E. Hickman will continue to serve as chief financial officer until a new CFO is named.
