Los Angeles–based denim label True Religion Apparel Inc. won a pair of court default judgments against several companies charged with counterfeiting the company’s premium-denim products. The combined judgment amounts to about $1 million. In one case, the denim brand teamed with British sportswear label Ben Sherman to nab a company that was importing and selling knockoff goods from both companies. True Religion and Ben Sherman were jointly awarded $500,000 in that claim.
