Shaun Tomson's Son Dies
Mathew Tomson, the son of surf legend and Instinct shareholder Shaun Tomson, died unexpectedly on April 24 in Durban, South Africa. He was 15.
Shaun said his son lost his life from a schoolboy prank.
Earlier this year, Mathew moved with his mother, Carla, from Santa Barbara, Calif., to South Africa, his father’s native country. He recently enrolled in his father’s alma mater, Clifton Preparatory School.
“My wife, Carla, and I will miss him more than the depth of the oceans and the breadth of the sky,” Shaun said in a prepared statement.
