Liberating Canada
People’s Liberation, a Los Angeles–based denim maker of apparel under the People’s Liberation and William Rast labels, has signed a pair of distribution agreements with A&F Apparel Ltd. Under the agreements, A&F will hold the exclusive distribution rights in Canada for People’s Liberation and William Rast apparel through March 2008. People’s Liberation has also hired former Juicy Couture and True Religion designer Jennifer Wojinski as brand designer and Fred Naggar as a consultant. Naggar was involved in sales and merchandising for Los Angeles denim label Rock & Republic before establishing A&F Apparel.
