Los Angeles Fashion Week Fall '06: Charlotte Ronson
New York designer Charlotte Ronson threw her Autumn/Winter 2006 collection a viewing party March 22 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel’s Library Bar in Los Angeles. Models wearing looks from Ronson’s collection—which bounced from prairie-inspired to ’80s redux—perched on platforms to give partygoers a glimpse of the line.
The designer showed shrunken army-green peacoat-styled blazers, jersey tunics with multicolored buttons, heavy sweater dresses paired with leggings, and slim denim.
A printed chiffon mini-dress featured a plunging neckline and a bubble skirt. Printed jersey dresses with three-quarter sleeves were cinched at the waist with wide leather belts. Suiting got a fresh look, fashioned into short shorts and a matching blazer with motorcycle-jacket styling. —Erin Barajas
