Denim Label's Menswear Gets the Spotlight at Scott Hill
Since starting up in 2000, 7 for All Mankind has spent a great deal of time focusing on women and what they want to wear.
For Fall ’06, the Los Angeles denim company is giving men more power with amplified attention to their clothes. At a presentation of its new Fall line at the Scott Hill store on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles, men’s outerwear, designed by Tim Kaeding, was being emphasized.
The Fall line-up for men included colorful jacquard and velvet blazers, urban cowboy jean jackets, peacoats, military jackets, wool hoodies and cashmere sweaters. A touch of the urban cowboy was rolled into plaid shirts with Western stitching at the shoulders and back.
On the women’s side, skinny-leg denim pants ruled. Some had rose gold zippers at the ankles and pockets to make a statement. Other denim styles included cropped pants with velvet accents. One jean style even ventured into high-waist territory. The L.A. company rolled in denim skirts with ruffles up the front and denim pencil skirts. —Deborah Belgum
