Tukatech Names Divisional President
Tukatech Inc. has named Rajive Puri as president of its TukaForms dress forms division. Puri will be responsible for managing development, manufacturing and sales. Puri has more than 35 years of experience in the sewn-products industry.
TukaForms are life-like soft forms used in place of fit models. The company has added several new models, adaptable for lingerie, swimwear and denim fittings.
In other developments, the company said it opened a TukaCenter in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The center provides training and support for all Tukatech products, including computer- aided design, grading and marker-making. Local manufacturers joined Tukatech executives at the May 28 opening. “The center is ideal for smaller companies that cannot afford expensive plotters and digitizers or do not have their use for the full day,” said Thushara De- Silva, its managing director. —Robert McAllister
