Mervyns' New Crew
Hayward, Calif.–based retailer Mervyns has restructured its executive staff, promoting seven vice presidents in the process. Among the promotions is David Kranz, the divisional merchandise manager for misses apparel, now vice president, merchandise manager for misses apparel. Gary Schettino, the divisional merchandise manager for men’s, has been named vice president, merchandise manager for the category. Julie Tomasi, the divisional merchandise manager for jewelry, accessories and intimate apparel, has been named vice president, merchandise manager for jewelry, accessories and intimate apparel. Dana Allison, the director of transportation and logistics, has been named vice president, supply chain. Michelle Belasco, the company’s director of human resources and a 33-year veteran of Mervyns, has been named vice president of human resources for Mervyns’ headquarters and retail operations. Kathleen Martinez, the director of merchandise planning for misses and juniors apparel, has been named vice president, merchandise planning for women’s ready-to-wear. Martinez has been with the company since 1979. Amanda Riley, Mervyns’ assistant general counsel, has been named vice president, assistant general counsel and assistant secretary.
