West Coast Labels Nominated for Dallas Fashion Awards
West Coast fashion brands once again led the charge of nominees for the 31st annual Dallas Fashion Awards to be presented Oct. 28 at the Dallas Market Center.
The awards recognize companies that demonstrate extraordinary performance at retail, as well as those that offer innovation in design. A committee of fashion editors, trend experts, retailers and representatives of various industry associations nominated the brands.
Buyers at the upcoming summer markets will vote for the winners, which will be presented at the October gala, an event usually attended by a few celebrities. Buyers can also download ballots at www.dallasmarketcenter.com. The deadline for entries is Sept. 29.
West Coast companies receiving nominations are Tadashi and Sue Wong (after 5 wear); Biya and Jak & Rae (contemporary), 7 for All Mankind and Joystick (contemporary casual), and Karen Kane and Barbara Lesser Fibers (modern wear).
In all, 24 finalists were named in eight categories.
