Miami Runway Report: Swimwear Association of Florida
A four-pronged runway allowed attendees of the July 17 Swimwear Association of Florida’s fashion show at the Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts in Miami Beach to take in four looks at once and efficiently view more than 200 lines.
Shown by category, looks from misses, juniors, designer and contemporary brands gave buyers an idea of the prevalent trends for each demographic. Stripes, bright colors, coverups and skin-baring maillots were featured prominently across the board.
Sophisticated prints and upscale embellishments, including lace trim, metal rings and rich beading, glammed up designer swimwear. Juniors brands opted for sporty shapes and tropical hues and prints. Misses designers showed demure suits with plenty of visual interest. —Erin Barajas
