O'Neill Adopts Web-Based Order Processing
Irvine, Calif.–based O’Neill Clothing is moving closer to a totally paperless environment for order processing.
The surfwear brand has teamed with Denver- based CenterStone Technologies Inc. to use its iVendix software system, which allows O’Neill’s dealers to place pre-season orders any time of the day over the Internet.
It also lets them check order status and availability, and eventually will allow O’Neill to integrate all orders into its back-office enterprise resource planning solution, provided by Full Circle.
O’Neill’s chief operating officer, Toby Bost, said many of its retail accounts were already using iVendix, which made the decision to adopt the system much easier.
The move toward Internet-based order processing is the wave of the future, Bost said. “Dealers will be able to spend more time during the day on the shop floor with their customers and still be able to transact business with O’Neill Clothing after normal retail business hours.”
Bost added that the system also would be put into place during busy trade shows, where orders can be placed on the spot.
