Hurley Shuffles Execs

Costa Mesa, Calif.–based surf brand Hurley International named Paul Gomez senior vice president of marketing and global branding, a position that includes overseeing the company’s international division. Gomez has been with the company since the launch in 1998 and helped shape the company’s marketing strategy and image. His new position will allow him to focus on the global branding of the label, which was purchased by Beaverton, Ore.–based Nike Inc. in 2002. The company also promoted Vice President of Sales Kevin Meehan to vice president/ general manager of marketing. Taking Meehan’s prior position is Casey Fleming, a 12-year veteran of Huntington Beach, Calif.–based surf giant Quiksilver.
