Hot Topic Taps IHOP for New VP
Hot Topic Inc. announced Jan. 9 that it had hired a veteran human resources executive, Robin Elledge, to be senior vice president of the City of Industry, Calif.–based retailer’s human resources department.
Elledge will direct recruitment and employee relations for Hot Topic. She will report to company Chief Executive Betsy McLaughlin.
Teenagers across the United States buy rock- and gothic-inspired fashions at Hot Topic’s 663 stores nationwide.
Elledge honed her human resources management skills at Glendale, Calif.–based International House of Pancakes. She worked at the 24-hour restaurant chain’s corporate resource department from 1995 to 2005. Previously, she worked as a director of practice development for Ormco Corp. International, a manufacturer and supplier of orthodontic appliances. She spent September 1981 through March 1985 in various human-resources positions with Crocker National Bank and Kraft Inc.
