Liz Goes (Middle) East
New York–based manufacturing giant Liz Claiborne Inc. struck an exclusive distribution agreement with MAF Fashion LLC, which will distribute some of the Liz Claiborne brands in the Middle East region, certain countries in North Africa, the Levant region and Pakistan. Some of the Liz brands, Liz Claiborne, Mexx, Lucky Brand and Monet, are already distributed in the region through local partners. MAF Fashion, a division of the Majid Al Futtaim Group in Dubai, will oversee these brands, as well as 60 free-standing stores and several department store departments in the Middle East. MAF will also work to expand the company’s brands in the region.
