CMC Plans Fire Drill, Holiday Schedule
The California Market Center and the Los Angeles Fire Department will conduct a floor-by-floor fire drill at the wholesale center in downtown Los Angeles on Dec. 20 between 8:30 a.m. and noon.
Tenants and guests on each floor will be asked to evacuate through one of the building’s stairwells. Each floor’s drill should last about 15 to 20 minutes. CMC executives remind tenants to lock their showrooms during their floor’s drill.
The CMC will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The building’s offices will be closed, as well as the parking garage. If tenants need to enter the building, they can check in with a security officer at the desk in the lobby, where they will be asked to show photo identification.
The CMC is also collecting toys for underprivileged children throughout December. There is a collection box in the lobby near the security desk.
