PLM Heads Material World N.Y. Seminars
Product lifecycle management (PLM), an emerging technology aimed at streamlining product development, will be the main subject of discussion on Material World New York’s seminar schedule, set for Sept. 26–28 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
The headliner event, “PLM–Integrating People, Processes and Information,” at 8 a.m.
on Sept. 26, will present case studies offered by Cindy Payero, vice president of systems for DKNY; Surge Ghosh of QVC; and Michelle Puopolo, director of pre-production for A/X Armani Exchange. Rick Ludolph of Productive Solutions LLC will moderate the panel.
At 11:30 a.m., Brion Carroll, vice president of research and development for software firm PTC, will present “How to Leverage PLM to Achieve a Competitive Advantage.” Kurt Cavano, chief executive officer of TradeCard, will lead a 12:30 p.m. seminar on streamlining the financial supply chain. At 2 p.m., Fred Isenberg and Mark Burstein of New Generation Computing Inc. will discuss PLM and sourcing systems from a return- on-investment perspective.
At 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 27, Blue Cherry/CGS executives and clients will continue in the PLM vein with a discussion on how systems can increase productivity and give companies an edge through collaboration with designers, product developers, contractors, etc. At 2 p.m., Myron Melnyk of Apptech Consulting will discuss how companies can choose the right system for their businesses.
