Dallas Market Center Names New Marketing VP
Steve Dumas has been promoted to vice president of marketing operations for the Dallas Market Center, which includes the FashionCenterDallas wholesale complex.
A 15-year veteran of the DMC, Dumas most recently was senior director of interactive marketing. In his new position, he will oversee all marketing information systems and assume the management of the market services department, which recently moved from the finance division to the marketing operations division. He is responsible for initiatives such as the DMC’s new Market Fast Pass program, which will register and deliver badges to buyers via e-mail beginning in January. He also will help streamline the retailer qualification process and develop new features within the Market travel system to assist buyers through all stages of their market trips.
Dumas reports to Jane Robertson, senior vice president of marketing. “Steve’s background includes success in many different facets of the wholesale business model,” Robertson said, “and we are glad that someone of his experience and marketing savvy will lead our new marketing operations team.”
