7 For All Mankind Hires CEO
Vernon, Calif.–based premium-denim maker 7 For All Mankind has filled its chief executive position after several months of vacancy. Michael Egeck left his post as president of VF Corp.’s VF Outdoor division to assume the role vacated by 7’s former CEO, Andreas Kurz.
At VF Outdoor, Egeck managed The North Face, Vans, JanSport, Eastpak, Napajiri and Reef brands. He is credited with increasing the group’s sales from $386 million to $1.45 billion. 7 is hoping Egeck will work similar magic for its blue jeans business; he assumes his post Aug. 15.
“Michael has a proven track record of rapidly growing aspirational brands,” Peter Koral, president and founder of the company, said in a statement. “I look forward to working with him in continuing to realize the many growth opportunities for the 7 For All Mankind brand.” —Erin Barajas
