Tukatech Launches Online Upgrades
Los Angeles–based Tukatech is now offering online upgrades for its CAD software.
Company officials said users would have access to new short cuts, tutorials, tips and information on a daily or weekly basis through the online resource.
Users only have to log on to their appropriate portal, where a “smart update” manager will install updates automatically. Users also will be prompted when to install the updates via pop-up windows. The latest version of TukaCAD also gives users the option to connect directly with TukaWEB.com, which is a resource for plotting their patterns, via 42 TukaCenters and more than 1,200 FedEx-Kinko’s locations. The system also offers access to a click-and-ship service for patterns and markers heading to Asia.
“It is almost impossible to upgrade all users and make sure that they are using the latest version unless we use the Internet,” said Boris Vishnevsky, chief technology officer for Tuka- Group. “It is fast, it is free, and almost all CAD users have access to it.”
