Gerry Building to Get New Leasing Director
Larry Hudson, general manager for the Gerry Building on Los Angeles Street in downtown Los Angeles, was scheduled to leave his post April 20 to pursue other interests.
Mary Yang, who works with building owner LaeRoc Partners of Hermosa Beach, Calif., will be the interim director of leasing until a permanent replacement is found, said a company spokesperson.
During his tenure, Hudson, a former leasing executive with the California Mart (now called the California Market Center), helped to create the nine-story Gerry Building as a destination for lingerie, street and urban wear, and contemporary lines. The building has a 93 percent occupancy rate.
Hudson has been in charge of leasing since the former manufacturing building was renovated and converted to showroom space in 2002 under former owner MJW Investments of Santa Monica, Calif., which sold the building last year to LaeRoc.
Hudson is working on several real estate projects and is a consultant for showroom owners. His new phone number is (310) 420-8359. —Robert McAllister
