Researching RFID
Radio Frequency Identification technology is going to college. The University of Pittsburgh is creating a Radio Frequency Identification Center of Excellence at its Pittsburgh campus to expand its study of the technology and its adoption in business and industry. The RFID Center will be housed in the university’s engineering school, which will provide the initial funding for the project. Future funding will be provided by grants and contracts from companies and government agencies, according to the university.
