San Francisco Fashion Week '05: Shivani K.
The Shivani K. collection, by designer Shivani K., was chock-full of flashy eveningwear made with chiffon, silk brocade and satin. On the runway, the designer showed a candypink floral chiffon top and a skirt with a chevron yoke, a gathered Chantilly-lace cream brocade top and tailored black shorts, and a licorice satin halter top and sequined tuxedo pants. The designer paid close attention to detail; satin piping contoured trousers with sequin and crystal embellishments on back pockets. Several pieces were reminiscent of Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga.
