San Francisco Fashion Week '05: quot;Emerging Starsquot;
Students presented the designs at “Emerging Stars,” a roundup of fresh faces on the San Francisco fashion scene. Most students hailed from The Art Institute of California’s fashion program and offered styles that ranged from casual to couture. Some pieces alluded to Americana, while others paid tribute to ’80s fashion trends. Looks included a black military jacket worn with a white dress shirt and brown tailored rolledhem army shorts, T-shirts sporting nuclear bomb prints paired with blackand- white striped skirts with neon mesh layers, and a gray velvet V-neck dress mixed with black jewel-embellished leggings and a matching surgical mask. The designers showcasing their looks were Alex Heller, Amanda Thomas, Aneth Sabrina, Anne Kimball, Antonia Souza, Benito Ramirez, Colette Rodriquez, Elena Kotchetovia, Eri Suzuki, Faye Davidson, Jason Dilorenzo, Jonathan Gonzalez, Madison, Maria Morales and Shadi Marzai. —Claudia Schou
