San Francisco Fashion Week '05: Lily Samii
Fashion veteran Lily Samii specializes in eveningwear, which sells at her Union Square atelier as well as at Saks Fifth Avenue’s San Francisco store. The designer’s collection featured special-occasion dresses and separates with floral accents in a palette of copper and peacock. Each piece was embellished with embroidery and elegant beading. A purple floor-length gown with exotic peacock- feather embellishments and a rouge-colored silk crepe, jersey knit and chiffon dress with violet accents were among the eyecatching pieces. The designer also produced a line of tailored wool daywear, including dress suits and pantsuits, in warm fall colors.
