Green Day's Armstrong to Launch New Line
Santa Ana, Calif.–based Steady Clothing and Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong are collaborating on a new line of punk-inspired clothing called Adeline, named after Armstrong’s record label. The company made the announcement at the MAGIC Marketplace, held Aug. 29–Sept. 1 in Las Vegas.
Josh Brownfield, Steady’s vice president of design, will work with Armstrong and his wife to produce about 22 men’s and 15 women’s pieces for Holiday. The company will follow up with a bigger launch next February.
The line consists of button-up shirts, hoodies, T-shirts and other pieces. Wholesale price points are to start at about $10 to $12 for tees, $38 for sweaters and hoodies, and $26 to $28 for button-up shirts. Many of the items will be embellished with the skull-and-crossbones emblems, the unofficial moniker for the record label. —Robert McAllister
