Fed Closures
Cincinnati-based Federated Department Stores Inc. announced it would close six more stores following its merger with the May Department Stores Co., bringing the total closures to 82. Among the slated closures are a Macy’s store in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and a Robinson’s-May in Escondido, Calif. The company will also close three Macy’s stores in Kentucky, New Hampshire and Arizona and a Marshall Field’s store in Indiana.
