Paxar Names New Apparel Manager
Susan P. Guerin has been named president of Paxar Corp.’s North America Apparel Group, based in White Plains, N.Y. Paxar markets tags and labels as well as RFID (radio frequency identification) solutions.
Guerin will oversee business with the company’s apparel industry clients. She most recently was senior vice president of finance for New York–based travel and real estate firm Cendant Corp. She also held positions with Lerner, Unilever, Thomas J. Lipton, Elizabeth Arden and E.F. Hutton.
She has a master’s degree in business administration from New York University and a bachelor’s from Cornell University.
“Susan’s experience in retail apparel and consumer product markets will be extremely valuable to Paxar in building global customer relationships and accelerating its apparel growth strategy,” said Paxar Chief Executive Rob van der Merwe in a statement.
As part of the move, George Hoffman, currently president of Americas Apparel Group, now becomes president of Apparel Business Development and Strategy and Latin America Apparel Group. He will lead new business development and strategy efforts, including the development of third-party partnerships and acquisitions to drive innovation. —Robert McAllister
